"Inspired" is a rock & blues song with a Ska horn section along for the ride. It deals with that inevitable time when a person gets sick enough of the situation they are in, and gains the impetus to do something about it. It progresses the narrative of the album from bleak despair to ‘Inspired’ to get back up, dust yourself off, spit out a tooth and get back in the ring to keep fighting. In a world increasingly hostile towards art and beauty, the struggle to find the time and space to continue to make art and music is nothing less than a revolutionary act. For the band this is a day to day struggle, balancing the inborn need to create music with the need to pay the bills and keep the lights on, and facing the uphill battle of relaunching careers after Covid decimated the small venue landscape for independent artists.
